About SEFAAS

SEFAAS will produce greater than 500,000 tonnes of wood pellets capable of replacing coal or co-firing as a fuel source. SEFAAS takes forestry biomass and creates a sustainable energy source that is a viable replacement for fossil fuels such as coal. Sales enquiries show strong interest from coal fired electricity producers wanting to utilize the product as a blend or full replacement for coal firing because the product reduces CO2 pollution by hundreds of kilograms for every tonne used as a coal substitute.

Annually, millions of tonnes of bio-mass is produced in Australia: however no large-scale commercial user of the feedstock was available. With the development of multiple SEFAAS facilities it is possible to reach production volumes in excess of 3M tonnes without any feedstock supply issues.

The Jarratt Group experiences fantastic relationships with a wide range of industry, from farmers to processors and manufacturers developed over 30 plus years. These relationships form a crucial link in the supply chain with access to the required volumes of feed stock and the sourcing of the feed stock in the necessary regions.

With a thorough understanding of both the transport and agri sector we have been able to marry the feedstock supply and finished production to give us a competitive advantage. Most of the feed stock supply organizations are current customers in one way or another. That is: we carry products into or out of each of their respective organizations and have done so for many years. With these long-term business relationships in place we are well positioned to develop and increase the production output of the facilities.

With a stable and long-term supply of feedstock, SEFAAS is able to produce 500,000 tonnes of wood pellets from each production facility. 

The pellets are perfectly suited for use by coal fired electricity producers wanting to utilize the product as a blend or full replacement for coal firing. This process reduces CO2 pollution by hundreds of kilograms for every tonne used as a coal substitute.
