SUSTAINABLE ENERGY FROM AN AGRI SOURCE

SEFAAS produces biomass pellets from forestry thinnings and harvest residues. The pellet as a fuel reduces CO2 pollution by hundreds of kilograms for every tonne used as a fossil fuel substitute.

Annually, millions of tonnes of bio-mass are produced in Australia, however, there was no large-scale commercial operation capable of using this feedstock. The SEFAAS business will produce greater than 500,000 tonnes of renewable pellets from each site with up to 6 sites identified.

ABOUT US

WHAT WE DO

Through the utilisation of sustainable forestry residues SEFAAS produces a wood pellet suitable for use as a furnace fuel by electricity producers with minimal retro fitting required.

SEFAAS is well positioned to take advantage of the opportunities presented to us associated with the Global Low Carbon Transition.

The Paris Agreement is a global agreement to limit global warming to well below two degrees Celsius (2°C) above pre-industrial times, and as close to 1.5°C as possible. Achieving the Paris objectives involves decarbonization of the global economy by 2050. Reducing emissions is a priority to keep pace with changes happening globally and to ensure we hand a healthy planet to the next generation.

However, we need to do so in a way that is cost-effective and economically responsible. we must also ensure longterm sustainability.
